I often get asked if it’s hard to share the vulnerable parts of my story, and the answer is yes. There are still moments that bring me to tears when I say them on stage.

But I know the message matters.
I share them for every person in the audience, hoping my vulnerability might reach someone who needs it.. someone who needs to feel seen, understood, or reminded they are not alone

And I share it for me.
For the little girl who went through hard things.
For the young girl who didn’t yet have the voice.
For the teenage girl who believed her worth was less than.
For the young woman who felt her worth was attached to her body.
For the woman who was stuck in toxic and harmful cycles.
For the mom-to-be who was worried about her body being ruined.
For the postpartum mom who felt the need more than ever to lose the extra weight.
For the woman trying to keep up with the societal standards.
For the girl/woman who looks in the mirror and what they see doesn’t feel like it matches what she hears others say.
For the girls/women who are working to heal themselves.

And most importantly, I do it for my daughter.

Because I want to break the cycles that told me to shrink myself and question my worth. So she grows up knowing that she is enough, exactly as she is.. That her worth is never something she has to earn.

Because if my healing becomes part of her, or someone else’s, freedom.. then every vulnerable moment is worth it.

AD| For so long, we’ve been told that working out was something we had to do… a way to shrink, to earn rest, to earn food..

I’ve worked really hard to require my brain and heal my relationship with movement.

Working out isn’t punishment. It’s not about changing my body, it’s about feeling good in it. The gym is a place where my mind quiets, where I feel strong, and the stress feels like it melts from my body.

Some days it’s pushing heavy weights, some days it’s slow movement, and some days it’s just showing up because I know it will help me feel better. But every time, it’s for me, not for shrinking.

Healing my relationship with movement has been one of the most freeing things I’ve done. Because now, it’s not about losing anything… it’s about gaining peace, strength, clarity, and that feels really, really good.

After the time in the sun, sand, and salt.. I came to see @thefivefootblondestylist at @saltandstrandshairco for a post vacay refresh for a quick tone to give my colour back its shine and refresh my ends!

As a blonde, my hair sometimes gets looking a bit dull.. adding in a tone between full colours is a wonderful way to freshen things up!

Protein Cookie Dough Bark

So simple, so delicious!

🤎 1/2 cup Vanilla @arbonnecanada Protein
🤎 1/2 coconut flour
🤎 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
🤎 1/4 honey
🤎 chocolate chips (handful in + some melted on top)

Mix all together, spread out on parchment paper, melt chocolate and spread on top, freeze for a couple of hours, devour!

A sprinkle of sea salt would be delicious on top, but I was too thrown off my my chocolate not being melted enough when I started spreading it 😂

So simple, so delicious!

🤎 1/2 cup Vanilla @arbonnecanada Protein
🤎 1/2 coconut flour
🤎 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
🤎 1/4 honey
🤎 chocolate chips (handful in + some melted on top)

Mix all together, spread out on parchment paper, melt chocolate and spread on top, freeze for a couple of hours, devour!

A sprinkle of sea salt would be delicious on top, but I was too thrown off my my chocolate not being melted enough when I started spreading it 😂

What would change if you stopped calling survival ‘normal’?

Somewhere along the way, we accepted exhaustion as adulthood. We labeled burnout as ambition. We told ourselves “this is just how it is.”

But surviving isn’t the same as living.
We’re functioning (sort of).
We’re holding it together (just barely).

Time for self shouldn’t come with feelings of guilt.
You are allowed to want ease.
You are allowed to want joy.
You are allowed to want a life that feels like yours, not just one you can get through the days.

What if ‘fine’ isn’t actually fine?
Maybe it starts with noticing.
Maybe it starts with questioning.
Maybe it starts with believing you deserve more.
Maybe it starts with a focus on you.

Survival mode helped you get through, but it doesn’t have to be your forever.
